Software Engineer - Graduate Research Assistant

Virtual Home Simulator: A Virtual Reality application that simulates real time experience for social work students, developed in Unity3D.  

  • Currently used by more than 5 Social work colleges to train their students.

  • Converted real homes to interactable environments using Unity3D and custom-built libraries.  

  • Programmed cloud functions using Node.js to log and analyze user data in Firebase.

  • Built a standalone application to authorize new users and visualize user metrics.

Virtual Motivational Interviewing: A mobile application built in Unity 3D that trains social work students in Motivational Interviewing.  

  • Extended the functionality of Unity UI components to provide customizability.  

  • Aided in building an animation system to queue coroutines to produce smooth transitions.  

  • Devised a system that parses excel files and converts into in-app content.

Support Groove: A social network web application for people with limited mobility.  

  • Developed using HTML/CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Ajax and SQL. 

  • Incorporated the web accessibility standards to provide simple interface for disabled people.
